Who Are We
Triad Daylily Fans and Garden Club are members of American Hemerocallis Society as well as ‘The National Garden Club’ that puts on the “Philadelphia Flower Show” and the one in England! We covet our Daylily as the ‘Primary’ celebration and enjoy the variety of other Garden and Flower interests.
Spotlights on members: Within the club we have Becky Hinshaw who in Febuary gave us a glimpse and the excitement of "Exhibition Judging and General Flower Show Preparation. She actively is -Garden Judge 1 and 2- Flower Judge 1 &2 Instructor and Judge at various events of Region 15. Bill Hurt whose background is in Iris hybridizing and showing and judging blew us away in March; February brought Linda Alplanalp judge, hybridizer, show participant program ‘All About African Violets’ and a selection of ‘Leaf starters’ as well; Deb Cash who gave us ‘Hybridizing 101’ on June 13th at her Greenhouse; Lynne & hubby ‘Bo' Broderius are Certified Beekeepers in the "Goodness Grows in N.C.” Dept of Agriculture program selling in holistic grocery chains in the Piedmont region of NC as ‘L & B Apiaries; Bob Bodsford is a Docent for the ‘Paul Ciener Gardens’ in Kernersville!
Our club are Curators now of the 'Lillian Livingston Daylily Memorial Garden' inside the 7.5 Acre Tanger Family Bi-Centennial Gardens. We planted the many Region 15 Hybridizer donations into the four (4) gardens to showcase “What’s New in Daylilies”.
A “Take One” weather proof box is being installed for the accommodating map of those cultivars for the general public to locate them by interacting with our club as a resource to purchase and perhaps ‘NEW’ members too.
