For our February meeting, Ed Zahler and Duane Therrin from "I Can't Believe It's A Dip" daylily garden, in Conway SC, will show us their recent hybridizing accomplishments in diploid hybridizing. Ed is a long time regional member and accomplished hybridizer, with Duane having recently joined Ed with his own hybridizing direction. Their garden, a regional tour garden a couple years ago, will also give us lots of ideas for trhe new year.

Please note that this will be a joint meeting with the Raleigh Daylily Club. We look forward to the RHC members joining us.

When you are a gardner, bee's are our friends. Join us to learn more about our friends in the garden, honey bees. These docile little workers are so interesting, as they work hard to produce honey as well as wax for the best candles. Watch out!! Like daylilies, they can be contagious. :-))

Thu - May 28

Sandhills May Club Meeting

May is the month that we traditionally meet in someone's garden. This year, we will be having our potluck meal and meeting at the Quinn's, near Lillington. We are working on having Jom Sovine, a daylily show award winner, join us to share his expertese in preparing daylilies for a show.

NOTE: In our Febuary meeting, we will discuss the possiability of moving this meeting to Saturday, May 30, in the morning. The garden, and esopecially the daylilies would be happier to see us in the morning.
