The Foothills are ALIVE, with the look of beautiful Daylilies!!!

Indeed, we're here! A VERY nice group of fun-loving daylily folks... gardening right here in the scenic Foothills of the Blue Ridge, and taking full advantage of "PERFECT" daylily-growin' countryside! Our meetings are the 2nd Sunday of each month, except in Jan & Feb, in the historic district of Rutherfordton, NC. We ALWAYS have fun... and we hope you will join us!!!

Foothills at Mayfest in downtown Rutherfordton

Foothills Daylily Society will be hosting a booth at the annual Mayfest celebration in downtown Rutherfordton. This will happen on Saturday, May 4, from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. in downtown Rutherfordton.  Members will be present to talk to interested parties as well as selling potted daylilies and even some other perennials from their gardens.

Foothills Daylily Society: Tips for entering a flower show

With our Flower Show at Gardenwoods coming up, Cindy Dye will be here to discuss training/practice for the flower show. Tips on photographing flowers will be included. Even if you don't plan to enter the show, the information will be helpful for future events. The meeting will be at the County Annex building on Main St. in downtown Rutherfordton.

Gardenwoods to host Flower Show

The Foothills Daylily Society will be hosting their first Flower Show at Gardenwoods. Located west of Rutherfordton on highway 64/74A, Gardenwoods has donated their facility to host our show. This show will not be judging the flower arrangements.

Photography contest for Foothills Daylily Society

Now is the time to enter your prize winning photos of your favorite daylilies. Categories include single plant, garden scene and creative photos. Also at this meeting, members will discuss what's happening in their gardens to-date. Winners will be announced a the meeting in September.

Foothills to host Bill Gluck from Belinda Gardens.

Foothills Daylily Society will feature Bill Gluck from Belinda Gardens in Charlotte as their guest speaker this month. Results from the Photo Contest will be announced at this meeting. We will meet at the County Annex building on Main St. in downtown Rutherfordton.

Nancy Womack and John Martin present: Landscaping with Daylilies

How to arrange your daylilies in your yard is a common question. This month's meeting will feature members Nancy Womack and John Martin discussing how to use daylilies in your landscaping plans. We will also be having our annual plant exchange that includes both daylilies and other perennials that you might have in abundance. The meeting will be at the County Annex building on Main St. in downtown Rutherfordton

Meeting Information

Our meetings are the 2nd Sunday of each month at 2pm, at the County Courthouse Annex located at 289 N. Main St. in Rutherfordton, NC. A convenient location to pretty much all of the Western Piedmont, as well as Upstate SC! Come one, come all!
